| Overview | Louis Spencer is a native of Beaufort, North Carolina. Louis was graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 and received his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School in 1999 where he specialized in maritime and environmental law.
Prior to joining McNair Law Firm in February, 2007, Louis practiced with the law firm of Emmett, Cobb, Waits & Henning in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the areas of maritime, business and commercial law. As part of his maritime practice, Louis handles matters involving vessel collisions, maritime personal injury, towage agreements, cargo, charter parties, vessel finance/construction/documentation, insurance coverage disputes and all cases involving general maritime law jurisdiction. Louis also handles a wide variety of general business and commercial matters involving complex commercial contracts, facility leasing, business torts, unfair trade practices, commercial collections & foreclosures, lost profits & lost business opportunities, and business interruption claims.
