| Overview | John Jolley is an Associate in the Firm’s Estate Planning practice group. John graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1998. He was admitted to the South Carolina and Virginia Bar in the fall of 1998. After graduation, John practiced in Richmond, Virginia and in Alexandria, Virginia before returning to South Carolina in the fall of 2000.
John practiced in Columbia, South Carolina until joining McNair Law Firm in the fall of 2005. John has been certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a specialist in estate planning and probate administration. |
| | | Professional and Community Involvement | John writes and speaks regularly to public and private groups about Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and South Carolina Probate Issues. John serves as the Estate Planning Instructor for the University of South Carolina (Daniel Management Center) Certified Financial Planner Program and formerly served as the Estate Planning Instructor for the Midlands Technical College Certified Financial Planner Program.
John has served on the South Carolina Bar Committee studying the proposed Uniform Trust Code and on the South Carolina Bar Committee studying the ETHICS 2000 report of the American Bar Association. In addition to his committee activities with the South Carolina Bar, John is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Probate and Trust Section of the South Carolina Bar, and the Hilton Head Island Bar Association.
